Objectives of Utopia in Newcastle

The aim of the organisation is empower refugee women  residing in North East of England in order to have a good quality of life by

• Raising awareness on issues that directly affect women refugees and their dependants including domestic violence, forced marriage, honour violence and Female Genital Mutilation.
• Advancing  the education and training of the refugees and their dependants in need thereby enabling them to advance in life and assist in their rehabilitation within their adopted country of residence.
• Assisting the integration of members with local communities through cultural and social exchange activities/events.
• Providing activities for recreation, educational, social and other leisure time activities in the interests of social welfare to improve their quality of life

• Improving the economic welfare of the refugees and migrants by soliciting assistance that will enhance their employment prospects.

Preserving and protecting the health in particular but not exclusively by helping to control infection such as HIV/AIDS, sexual transmitted infections, TB and Malaria, and assisting those at risk of malnutritrition and providing such persons with free and confidential advice and
